BBC News is responsible for the gathering and broadcasting of news and current affairs. The department is one of the world's largest broadcast news organisations and generates about 120 hours of radio and television output each day, as well as online news coverage. The service maintains 44 foreign news bureaux and has correspondents in almost all the world's 240 countries.
We are seeking staff who will work across either or both TV News and Global News.

Large parts of daily Online, Radio and Television news services have come together to form the Multimedia Newsroom, which shares creative content across outlets and works efficiently across the various platforms of Online, Radio and Television news.

Role

In this role, you will be a member of a cross craft team of Studio Operators working across the disciplines of Vision (including lighting, vision control, comms & circuit co-ordination, camera operation and vision mixing), Sound (including comms and circuit co-ordination, sound operation).

Requirements

You'll need to be qualified in Floor Management ideally with have a second skill within the studio family (see job description) You will also need to have a comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety at Work legislation. Familiarity with new broadcast technology is also essential
