Summary of RoleThis is an ideal position for a bright graduate with a keen interest in developing a variety of TV production skills. The right candidate will be supporting our editing and producing teams in a fast turnaround environment. We require someone with a broad interest and knowledge of all sports.On a daily basis you will be asked to manage media on our editing systems, edit, log and source footage for appropriate programming and work closely with a number of producers. You will be able to undertake research on a variety of sports independently and receive training in all areas of production.Previous experience working in sports production with video editing software, ideally AVID Newscutter is an advantage. Key Responsibilities - Using AVID based products to prepare content for production- Logging incoming content using AVID assist- To help maintain databases, including a tape library, picture and audio library system, and to be the point of contact for footage that is required by the production team- Sourcing appropriate video footage and ingesting or batch capturing assets so that all edit preparation is done- Editing, managing and launching content to websites- Researching and working with producers and av engineering- Any other reasonable dutiesExperience- Understanding of a fast turnaround video editing environment- Previous work experience in a production and or new media/digital environment- Flexibility in terms of working hours is essential. This role with require weekend, evening and night work according to the sporting calendar- Strong organisational skills- Able to work under pressure and to manage own workload and schedule- Must be able to show experience of being pro-active and have a high attention to detailPersonal Skills- You will take every opportunity to learn from rest of the team. To develop a variety of skills, such as editing, writing scripts, graphic and camera operating.- To be well organised and possess good time management skills- To have good attention to detail ability to manage work flow independently- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks - Fully computer literate with experience of content management and delivery systems within new media- To build and maintain a proactive and collaborative relationship with in-house teams and work as a team player- Ability to communicate at all levels
