Job Outline:

The key purpose of the role is to deliver, load, unload and collect sound, lighting and audio visual equipment to venues in and around London, safely and on time. The ideal candidate will have a clean license, experience of driving a 3.5 tonne long wheel base and short wheel base vans in central London. A flexible approach to working as a driver in a busy events company is essential. This is a customer facing position requiring smart presentation and a polite, accommodating personality.

Roles and responsibilities:

Work with the Hire Manager and help plan van movements and scheduling with a flexible approach.

Plan routes and assess and consider site access.

Adhere to companies and clients health and safety rules, policies and procedures when working on site. (This is particularly important when handling heavy equipment)

Understanding and knowledge of current regulations for EU driver hours.

Good geographical knowledge, particularly of Central London.

Accurate completion of paperwork for unit movements and vehicle records.

Clear and effective communication is essential along with the ability to make independent decisions and work well in a team.

Events industry experience desirable.

It is essential to be comfortable with working within a high pressurised environment.

Maintain company standards of service and good reputation at all times.

Maintain company vehicles in good condition at all times.
