Working in the drama department you will be a central point of reference and provide administrative and script development support on a day-to-day basis to the team, including the Head of Drama, Head of Development, Executive Producers, Script Executives and the Head of Production. Your responsibilities will include reading scripts and books and preparing script reports and synopses, reading speculative scripts and fielding surplus scripts out to external readers, updating and sending out a weekly Drama slate, help write and edit Pitch Documents for new projects as well as attending and taking notes at meetings. You will source new writers and projects for the department, track the development progress on all projects, and log all scripts submitted to Broadcasters. Other tasks include undertaking availability checks for writers and producers & administrative support to the development team. You will have worked in a TV, film or theatre environment with proven experience of script reading and writing script reports with excellent language and grammar skills. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to exercise discretion and good judgement when dealing with confidential matters. You'll have a collaborative approach toward the day-to-day management of your work and be a creative problem solver. You will also have experience of planning and managing work flows and working to deadlines.
