Digital Content Assistant

Digital Content Assistant

Introduction
QTV Sports is one of the UK's leading production companies specialising in livestreaming of sport and digital content strategies for international federations and sports governing bodies.

The company produces live coverage of over a dozen sports in the UK and internationally.

We are a digital partner to a number of Scottish sports governing bodies, including the Scottish FA, SPFL, Scottish Rugby, Scottish Swimming, and Scottish Hockey.

In addition to providing our partners with high quality content we provide digital content strategies and social media support, including managing and curating their YouTube platforms.

We are looking for a recent college-leaver or university graduate to assist the company with production of social media video content for selected clients.

We have built a reputation with audiences for the high quality of our services and the insight of our coverage, delivering: passion and knowledge, audience connection, technical expertise, value for money, and track record.

We value: high standards of personal presentation and of written and spoken English; attention to detail; and a creative approach to the presentation of short-form and social media content.

Scope of role
Offered as an initial three-month fixed-term contract, this role is an entry level position for a recent college-leaver or university graduate, but one that offers considerable scope and potential for long-term personal and
professional development.

The successful candidate must be a creative and confident self-starter with initiative and tenacity and the ability to see how their work fits in with the wider needs of the company and its clients.

They must have an interest in and an ability to adapt to the latest technologies to ensure we're delivering content to our client and their audience how they want and when they want it.

Content Assistants are expected to work effectively with colleagues elsewhere in the company and to have a solid understanding of all content created by QTV Sports.

The primary project is to work, specifically, with Badminton Scotland as they prepare to host the biggest event in their calendar: the Scottish Open Grand Prix.

The latter stages of this internationally renowned event are broadcast live in over a dozen countries with QTV Sports providing livestreaming production of the first three days and features production and social media
support throughout.

As part of the build up to the BWF World Championships in 2017, which are being held in Glasgow, QTV Sports is working with Badminton Scotland to improve the organisation's profile and maximise the impact and engagement of their events on an international badminton audience.

The successful candidate will be expected to immerse him or herself in the badminton world. They will spend time with athletes, coaches, and administrators before, during, and after SOGP15 to develop an instinctive
and innate understanding of the sport, its participants, and its fans.

The content they produce will reflect their learning, reward and engage the audience, and enhance the reputation and reach of Badminton Scotland.

In tandem with this project, the successful candidate will work across a range of sports with the QTV Sports content producers to develop their editorial, production, and post-production skills, and enhance their
understanding of operating and maximising the potential of digital and social media platforms.

Specific training courses may be provided to meet project objectives set with the individual. These may include post-production applications such as Final Cut, Avid, Photoshop and After Effects.

It is imperative that the successful candidate has excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills, and can deliver to a deadline.

They may sometimes need to work long or unsociable hours or travel at short notice.
