About Tweedy's Massive CircusUnderbelly is delighted to present Tweedy's Massive Circus, a brand new show from the world-famous Tweedy, presented in a 300 seat circus tent touring across the UK for 14 weeks. Join Tweedy for his very own MASSIVE circus. Well kind of. Unfortunately the tent has shrunk and Tweedy hasn't a clue. Expect a show filled with magic, mirth and mayhem! Join Tweedy and his friends in their very own 'little' big top this summer, what could possibly go wrong? You will be working under the instructions of the Company, the Underbelly Producers and the Underbelly Production Manager. This role is a key member of the on-site team and is responsible for all show-related aspects of the tour.If you enjoy working as a team, spending time outdoors and a diverse and unique working schedule we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleThe Company Stage Manager is a vital member of the on-site team, managing all aspects of show delivery, to ensure a safe, fun and high quality experience for the artists, audiences and staff.Your main responsibilites are to manage all aspects of a touring show, making sure that the production and the performers have everything they need to consistenly deliver the show to the high standard required. You should be a real people-person whilst also having the ability to organise, manage and maintain set, costume and props on a live show.Company Stage Manager Responsibilities Site BuildManages the production aspects of the get-in; the props, costumes and set management - making sure that any staff involved in the installation and management of these aspects know their duties and schedule Daily DutiesManages the company and deals with any cast queries and complaintsManages any maintenance and upkeep to props, costume and setGives company clearance to the Site Manager in order to start the show Site StrikeManage the production aspects of the get-out; the props, costumes and set management - making sure that any staff involved in the installation and management of these aspects know their duties and scheduleMaking sure that the props, costumes and set are packed onto the transport vehicle in an appropriate fashion in order to do the get-in at the next siteManages the travel aspect of the move from venue to venue for the performers, including any transport and accommodation-related adminJob Requirements and Experience Ideal ExperienceExperience of working as a stage manager in a professional environment, preferably in a fast-paced circus settingGood working knowledge of health and safety in a theatrical environment.Excellent problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills.Ability to create a positive work atmosphere.Excellent team work skills.Confident in maintaining set, props and costume Crew RequirementsEnjoy working with a team.Aptitude for learning.Outstanding organisational skills.Diligence and attention to detail.Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanour.Ability to perform under stress.Excellent multitasking ability.Conflict management skills.
