BBC North, based at MediaCityUK in Salford, is the home of BBC Children's, producing shows as diverse as Dumping Ground, 4 O'clock Club and Tree Fu Tom.

Working at the centre of BBC Children's production community, the Commercial Team is committed to generating maximum commercial investment for Children's content whilst protecting public service values.
Through creative deal making with many commercial partners including BBC Worldwide, the Commercial Team help fund new programmes, enable creativity and realise the full commercial potential of the BBC's valuable rights.



Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager for BBC Children's, you will work in a creative environment with content producers, helping to ensure commercial targets are met, dealing with in-house production teams, broadcasters and distributors around the world.
Requirements

You will have extensive production experience across a range of genres and a good understanding of the needs and motivations of programme makers. You will have a good understanding of contractual and copyright matters including rights and clearances. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail. You will have a high level of computer literacy with extensive knowledge of databases and spreadsheet packages. Familiarity with technical specifications of deliverables is desirable.
