Optrix Media is a small and dynamic video production agency in West London. We cover a wide range of projects including event highlights, web promos, interviews, motion graphics and location filming. Our range of clients is ever expanding and we have a number of top corporates on our books. We pride ourselves on our level of creativity and set the highest standards of execution.

About the role:

We're looking for an experienced and multi-skilled Camera Operator/Editor to work with us. We'd like the candidate to start asap. The candidate must be very competent at camera work and editing, with a proven track record in both of these disciplines. In addition, we'd ideally like some that's experienced with motion graphics, specifically using After Effects.

In all levels of production, the candidate is expected to be self sufficient, being able to conduct shoots on their own and produce edits/graphics design with limited guidance. We also require the candidate to produce/direct shoots, both in the pre-planning stage and onsite. As part of this process, the candidate is expected to manage client accounts, running projects from start to finish and developing client relationships.

This is a great opportunity to work in a growing video production agency, we need someone that enjoys taking on responsibility and has the initiative to develop the role. We also want someone that has strong creative ideas to enhance the delivery of our projects. Working in a small agency means you need to be highly adaptable, applying your skills where they are needed most.


Main responsibilities:
• Working on the production of new and existing video projects to deliver them on time, on budget and to the highest quality.
• Filming as part of a crew or working solo. Using a wide variety of cameras (e.g. FS5/7, C100/300, DSLRs) and equipment, including set up and operation of lighting and sound.
• Editing projects in a fast turnaround environment, using the Adobe suite as the primary resource, notably Premiere.
• Motion graphics design - concept development and designing short titles or entire videos in After Effects.
• Produce and/or direct crew and talent on location and within a studio environment.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new editing and design ideas.
• Review scripts and raw material to create interesting narratives.
• Production planning and budgeting.
• Managing clients and accounts.

Required:
• Clean drivers license.
• Preferably based in West London.
• Flexibility to work weekends and travel nationally and internationally.
