Assistant Video Editor

Summary of Role

Assistant Video Editor required to edit sports broadcast and digital media products using Avid.
You will have had experience with editing programs, preferably Avid, either in education or through working in production or post-production. You will be working on Avid's Assist, Newscutter and Media Composer programs.
You will have a certain amount of supervision, and will have the opportunity to develop all areas of your editing skills. Your role will also some involvement in organising file storage for company's editing systems.
You must be confident working on both long and short-form products and organising your time appropriately. You will be working with other editors and producers, so must be a good team player and communicator.
You should be keen to learn broadcast requirements, and all the practices associated with preparing a programme for broadcast.
You will be based in our Feltham office so it is essential, due to the nature of the hours, that you can arrange your journey to and from work outside of public transport hours.

Experience/Skills

• A team player and proven experience of working within a production team
• Interest and previous experience in sport TV
• A desire to learn, take initiative and think on your feet
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure coupled with working to tight deadlines.
