Launching in late 2012, the Knowledge & Learning product will be a unified place for the BBC's factual and learning content, as well as being ubiquitous across BBC Online, creating journeys of learning across bbc.co.uk. From June 2011, this product will be run from Vision's new Learning headquarters in Media City UK in Salford, under the direction of the Executive Editor. A central team, in collaboration with the pan-UK K&L production base, will set the editorial direction for the Knowledge & Learning product and work alongside a local production team.

In addition to the Salford team, there will be production hubs in Bristol and London as well as in the Nations.

Role

Working with the Producer Social Media, you will be responsible for improving the performance in reach, impact, and quality of the K&L product by leveraging and guiding other pan-UK editorial colleagues in their use of K&L content advantageously on social media platforms, including internal BBC blogs and comments.

You will also liaise with the pan-Vision Social Media team in TV & iPlayer to ensure best practice and alignment of strategy.

Requirements

You'll have experience of providing cross platform support and guidance to colleagues along wiht experience of influencing people who are not direct reports.
You'll also have a clear understanding of the needs and profile of the target audience and the ability to translate these into imaginative and compelling content ideas.
