Professor Al-Khalili travels all over the Middle East, from Iran, Syria, Egypt and Tunisia, and into Europe to Spain and Italy to paint a little known picture of the scientific legacy of one of histories most creative and liberal eras, The Arabic Empire

6 x 1 hr of science and history of medieval and modern weapons, presented in a knock about style by Monty Halls and Dr Stuart Prior. The series featured experiments, and hands on demonstrations of a range of weapons including canons, long swords, siege engines and long bows.

Three one hours about the history of Atomic Physics, presented by Professor Jim Al-Khalili. We visit the locations of all the most important atomic discoveries of the last 100 years and examine the stories of the competing scientists as they try to crack the code of the atom.
