About Stefano Petroni

On the morning of February 16, 2012, I curled up mid-air with my skis on about to complete a frontflip on a 30-meters jump. I was in Whistler, Canada, and that day I landed on the ice, face first. I slid down the slope unconscious, seizures took over and my oxygen levels dropped. Doctors intubated me in the snow, and a helicopter transported me to the hospital. I had suffered a severe brain injury, but surgeons managed to keep me alive. After two days of coma, I slowly opened my eyes.

It took me years to get used to life again, but in the process, I realized that my fall had changed something inside me forever. After I woke up, I felt that I had to express something that was boiling inside me. I could now see stories all around me, and all I needed was a camera to bring them to life.

I dedicated the past nine years to gathering experience to become a visual storyteller, and I believe it's now time for me to make the leap to fiction filmmaking. Today can confidently work as Production Manager/Coordinator or as a Self Shooting PD, my equipment includes Red Helium 8K with Ronin, DJI drone, Sony A7S III, sound equipment and a few LEDs.

SAVE THE OLIVES - SELF SHOOTING PD JUNE 2018 - N/A
My brother and I decided to fight against a disease that is
killing 60 million olive trees in Southern Italy. The volunteering job
leads me to create sensible content to spread awareness of the
problem. This experience gave me the opportunity to work closely to
Hellen Mirren and Taylor Hackford.
