I am a highly experienced and award-winning Series Producer and Producer Director with credits across all the major broadcasters. I have made programmes in many different genres but have particular expertise in high risk and remote projects, observational documentaries, adventure travel, formatted/fact ent programming and current affairs.

I am an accomplished self-shooter and have taught camera directing for Skillset. I work hard to make sure that all my films have a distinctive look and enjoy shaping the style of the programme through the scripting process in post production too.

Recent work includes Series Producer/camera on Drugsland' for BBC3/Marble Films. This was an immersive observational documentary series looking at the impact of drugs on a rural community; namely North Devon. I led a small team on the ground for a year following the work of the Devon and Cornwall Police, various social support agencies and people suffering the personal effects of drugs. Access was highly sensitive and compliance was complex. The editorial was constantly evolving and shifting. Drugsland won RTS West Best Documentary award.

Other work prior to that includes Series Producer 'World's Most Extraordinary Homes;' a glossy presenter-led architectural series shot in eight international cities. It was first broadcast on BBC2 and is currently to be found on Netflix.

I self-shot 'Birds of Paradise The Ultimate Quest' (2 x 60 for BBC2) in which Frank Gardner undertook a gruelling expedition to Papua New Guinea with Benedict Allen. My work received a Grierson nomination.

I have worked with numerous presenters and celebrities (including Dennis Hopper, Billy Connolly, Lenny Henry, Reggie Yates, Caroline Quentin, Michael Stipe and Antony Worrall Thomson.)

Working from page to screen I have produced broadcast pilots which have then been commissioned as fully fledged series i.e Singing With The Enemy (BBC3), and Not Under My Roof (BBC3). My work as Director of 'Living With The Enemy' led to a prestigious international award for innovative television. More recently I conceived 'Toughest Place To Be' for BBC Current Affairs. It defied all demographics for current affairs films, ran for four series and won two awards. I then wrote spin off series 'A Cabbie Abroad' for the same department.

I also have a strong track record in finessing existing formats to change their look and feel, perhaps most notably reshaping an ailing DIY/SOS to become the much-watched series The Big Build.

I have worked on sensitive subjects such as addiction, racism and death investigation and my work has taken me to many countries and into dangerous situations such as Bosnia, the jungles of Guatemala and front line policing in Los Angeles.

I have cut feature length films as well as many 60 minute and 30 minute documentaries and, as a Series Producer overseen numerous edits too.

I live in Bristol but also have accomodation in London and I am happy to consider working in any location.
