Richard is a British director, producer, lighting cameraman and presenter with 30 years experience working in documentary drama and commercial television. He trained as a camera assistant and operator at the BBC's film unit, based in Ealing Studios, serving under Oscar and BAFTA winning directors and cameramen.

During a career as freelance lighting cameraman, Richard caught the attention of international production companies who recognised a niche in the documentary market for a charismatic, honest filmmaker, with both a drama and documentary background, who could also perform naturally on-screen as host.

The task of bringing out on screen the full potential and depth of character from those he is filming is made easy with his disarming warm personal skills. His open and engaging personality and style of storytelling, allows an audience to feel as though they are experiencing the adventure alongside him and at the same time, recording the story with fast reactive but thoughtful and elegantly crafted imagery.
