About Nick Ludlow

Variety is the spice of life, so the saying goes, and the same can be said of ones work. I count myself very fortunate to have the skillset to be able to work on a variety of different productions.
I am as happy doing a multi camera live event , or a single camera commercial, as I am building a special hidden camera for a documentary or a hidden camera show. I enjoy lighting different sets and take real pride in all my work.

After 30 years as a DoP and Cameraman, with a variety of skill sets, my passion and drive on all the projects I work on remains the same as it was on my first production. I am a team player adept at working with execs, producers and directors to providing maximum on-screen production value. I am a collaborative and supportive team player with excellent personal skills and sound judgement but I am just as happy working alone as I am working with a team.

I own a great deal of camera and lighting equipment, that I update regularly, this includes a Sony PXW-FX6, Sony PXW-FS7, Sony PXW-Z750 and a PMW-500. I also own smaller Canon cameras such as the XF-705 and XF-405. I keep a wide selection of lights for most documentary and small event production requirements. I have a large selection of minicams and remote heads, including a number of Panasonic 4K AW-UE70's.

I also own the largest selection of hidden cameras in the UK, these include bag cameras, jacket cameras and tie cameras; most of which are built in my workshop. I build hidden cameras for specific jobs.
