Social media smash with Alex Brooker becoming a national hero. I cut his scenes of triumph over adversity.

Re editing a new prime time 6 - part Ob Doc prison series from scratch. I was tasked with creating a warm humorous prison series and setting the tone and style. ITV were delighted with the results and put it out in the Coronation Street slot, 'F'ing Love it' said Sue Murphy. It averaged 3.6 million with a stunning 23.5 % Audience Share.

Two part science specialist factual series. Real life Dr. Doolittle Lucy Cooke on a mission to answer one of life's mysteries - can we really talk to animals? Taking an in-depth look into the world of animal - communication, traveling across the globe to de bunk long held myths and open our eyes to what wild animals can teach us. Meeting scientists who specialize in decoding animal communication, animals use grammar, pack surprising info into their sentences and have pretty good social lives, in fact they're more like us than we ever imagined. I pre -produced the series and scripts, shot on location in Africa, Central and North America shooting a huge variety of wildlife in difficult conditions from gesturing Chimpanzees and flashing fireflies, and instigating a Hippo Chorus with a new presenter. A new Ob Doc series for C4 following Mary Portas trying to instigate some of her Portas Review ideas with the Government and Town Teams, to help rejuvenate the high street. My film sees Mary in the old market town of Liskeard Cornwall, it was challenging as we had too negotiate with a whole town and work with many factions to make sure everybody was happy. Working with Mary and a lot of different characters and juggling storylines to produce a humorous, moving and transformational programme. I also was called upon to edit some of the other programmes. This got great press coverage, pick of the day in most papers and did well for C4. (Jun 12 - Dec 12)

The new series of the hugely successful, ambitious living history genealogy doc, taking 3 families back in time to find out how the family was forged. As senior producer my responsibility was to create two original and extensive shooting scripts and produce two programmes totally on location, the interwar and the 1960's - scheduling, trouble shooting, producing and directing 4 teams. The series was pre scripted but these are only shooting guides and my job on location was to know when to go off piste and produce stories and follow them, creating strong original content. I was also responsible for Series Directing all the presenter sections, Jib shots and GV's, as well as self shooting and producing all the family back-stories. On location coming up with a shooting brief for the Directors and looking at rushes and advising the self-shooting Directors. Then editing programme one to set the style and editorial: and editing the whole sixties programme. 'Uplifting & very emotional ' The Telegraph. It got excellent press and word of mouth and 5 million viewers (Jan 12 - Jun 12)

Plus getting intimate content with Sarah, her husband Graham and a large supporting cast of family, friends and the- - workforce at Rise Hall. I edited 2 of the programmes, the first and last and created running orders for the other edits. All concerned are very happy. Pick of the Day in all the papers. A new series for C4. Responsible for turning around the last in the series in record time. Optomen and C4 thought this was the best of the bunch. Producing funny and illuminating actuality of a profession everyone is opinionated about. Scripting the programme and coming up with editorial content and ideas to fix the business into an honest one, Directing Mary and some very difficult guarded and needy contributors. New hugely successful living history series for primetime BBC 1. Shopkeepers time travel through Victorian, Edwardian, Thirties, World War Two, 60's and the 70's eras to experience living and working in the past. I was responsible for pre scripting and editing the Second World War film, involving intensive research. On location in- Somerset Directing and self-shooting on tapeless EX1 cameras. As the senior PD I was responsible for all the large family contributors, the bakers, the grocers, the Asian corner shop family. I got great stories in actuality, funny and moving emotional journeys, which formed the pivotal spine of the series .I also did the post - VO/Dub/Online and Grade. Pick of the day in most papers. Last very popular series of this Fact Ent Doc with retail guru Mary Portas battling to save high street independent stores. I did two films out of the six. Clealls, a heart-warming story of a pair of townies running the village shop surrounded by hostile villagers in Corfe Castle, Dorset. Under the Moon, a hilarious moving tale of two bonkers hippies with the worst taste running a home ware store in Kingston upon Thames. I was responsible for pre scripting, directing Mary Portas and a large cast of characters on location to produce great actuality, edit scrip writing, directing the stylish pre title sequence on Steady cam. Development Producer / Director at Wall to Wall for BBC One
Developing a new talent documentary series with Gary Barlow for prime time BBC1 with head of factual, Leanne Klein and head of development, Gavin Rota. Creating a running order for the series and a taster tape for Jay Hunt. This went well & the BBC were ready to commission, but unfortunately it fell at the final hurdle, when the Olympic committee didn't agree to the winning prize of singing with Gary Barlow at the opening of the Olympics. (Several months in 2010)
'Wildest Dreams' - Producer / Director, BBC Entertainment and NHU for BBC One (4 x 60)
Huge, new ambitious primetime series for BBC 1. Co production from BBC Ent and the BBC Natural History Unit. 9 wildlife enthusiasts compete for a job in the natural history unit, filming wildlife all over Africa (Inc Big Cats, Rhino, and Elephants). I was a PD on 4 films on location in Zanzibar and remote dangerous wilderness locations in Kenya for 5 weeks. Shooting Ob Doc in very difficult conditions. The film I was prime Director on and edited focused on ---underwater filming in the Indian Ocean. All shot on boats with topside and underwater crews filming Coral Reefs, Dolphins and Whale Sharks. The series did very well especially with young teens. (Mar 09 - July 09)

'Alesha: Look But Don't Touch ' - Producer / Director,Firecracker Films for BBC 1 and BBC3 (1 x 60)
One - off authored, visually arresting documentary investigating and challenging the secretive world of digital re -touching. I developed the thesis and argument from scratch that sees Alesha Dixon on a mission and a personal journey to expose how digital re touching in the media can affect women and young girls' body image. It got great press and created a lot of debate on the net and radio discussing an important issue. TX Did v well on BBC3 and when repeated on BBC1 it got 1.5 million at 10.30pm. (Mar 08 - June 08)

This fact ent doc sees Mary Portas try to turnaround an unsuccessful Manchester menswear shop stuck in a grace brothers past. My film is a gentle, amusing tearjerker. One off authored, history documentary on The Sun's Agony Aunt Dear Deidre, which receives 50,000 letters a year. Using Deidre's real letters it explores the sexual obsessions of the Noughties by meeting the letter writers. Mixture Ob Doc with Deidre and her team/ Interviews / Drama Reconstructions. Responsible for casting strong stories, developing thesis of film, self-shooting Ob Doc, directing offline/online edit, script writing.
