I am freelance DOP/Cameraman with 25 years experience in broadcast television. Having lived and worked in South Africa for many years, I moved back to the UK in 2001. I work with the major broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV, Discovery and Animal Planet. I film in some very challenging environments from extreme cold, high altitude, deserts, seas and jungles to a trauma centre in Southampton. I pride myself on my ability to work well in a team, supporting and enhancing the director's vision. Flexible and easy to get on with, I am highly motivated to achieve the best from a situation. I am also comfortable working solo and have been a shooting PD on broadcast, education and corporate films. I am sensitive to different cultural values and over the past few years I have directed and shot documentaries and reality shows in the Middle East. I also enjoy teaching camera work and in the past have taught in South Africa and India.

When I am not filming or spending downtime with my family, I love to cycle.
