About Joe Hawkins

I am a freelance camera operator, I have worked in the industry for 7 years. I originally trained as a camera assistant with the BBC on several television productions, after which I became a camera operator and editor for a high-end wedding film company, Clark & Palmer Wedding Films. I originally trained as a camera assistant with the BBC on several television productions, after which I became a camera operator and editor for a high-end wedding film company, Clark & Palmer Wedding Films. Before leaving the UK, I set up my own freelance film business, working with British companies such as Bulb Studios, Jaguar Land Rover and Waitrose. I also filmed, edited and directed a documentary about the Battle of Britain for the Royal Air Force (RAF) Fighters Association, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This film has been released in six museums across Britain, and accepted by the British Film Institute. Most recently I worked on a feature length Documentary in Minnesota featuring Artist Jeffrey T. Larson. The film was accepted into the Catalyst Film Festival and won best Minnesota Film.
