Shown on SkyHD (UK), Science Channel(USA) and Discovery (Canada)

I also recently completed grading on the feature film : "The Wicker Tree" written and directed by Robin Hardy, (director of the original cult success "The Wicker Man" starring Christopher Lee). This was shot on RED 4K and will be released in USA 27.1.12

I've got a very very broad background ranging from low-budget factual programmes and shortform work through "serious" docs.(eg Nat. Geo.) to major movies like Aliens and The Mission.
I trained "on the job" in film (35 & 16) and put in 6 valuable years as a camera assistant. In the 80's I trained in Steadicam and bought my own rig and I also became skilled at documentary shooting in "hostile" environments (jungle, polar etc), and in the 90's I learned post-production, music, scripting etc from my work as a self-shooting director.

I shot one of the very first HD feature films Ghost Rig , an occult thriller in 2001. Also the horror feature Wild Country which won Best Cinematography at Estepona Film Festival in 2006. I've lit a great deal of co-produced TV family drama on HD. This includes 26 episodes of Shoebox Zoo (Bafta winner), and 15 episodes of Dinosapien aired worldwide and for which I was EMMY nominated for cinematography in 2008

I've photographed landmark documentary series such as Jarvis Cocker's Journeys into the Outside and Nick Barker's Signs of The Times. I did Steadicam on successful films like Scott Hicks' Shine, Neil Jordan's The Crying Game, James Cameron's Aliens and Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility. I have lit and directed 2nd unit action on many films eg. Uli Edel's The Little Vampire.

I'm relaxed when working, though well-used to going very fast! I get on well with all kinds of people and although I take work seriously I like to have fun doing it .
I love pictures. I love the poetry of it. I love the team work. I love my job.
