Highly experienced, multi award-winning journalist / documentary-maker / programme maker.
Commissioner, series editor, series producer, senior producer, director and cameraman.

Passionate, resourceful, innovative and talented storyteller with an education in drama and the arts and a distinguished career in journalism, investigations and current affairs documentary and programme making.

I am experienced at commissioning, series editing and series producing international current affairs programmes - documentary, interview and discussion - for radio, television & digital outlets.
I have an excellent track record of generating strong story ideas and translating them into compelling programmes / films, including of course, understanding the elements required to make them and identifying /dealing with any potential safety, editorial or legal issues that may be involved.
In post-production I am well practiced at structuring programmes - film, interview and discussion - and at editing scripts. I am very experienced at organising production teams for maximum work flow and efficiency.

Also, I am a very experienced multi award-winning producer / director of long-form international news & current affairs programmes - documentary, interview and discussion - for radio, television & digital outlets.
I am a skilled self-shooting producer / director / film maker. I am experienced at working alone, with a reporter and as part of a larger team. I am hostile environments trained and very experienced at working in such environments and at working undercover.

For 20 years I worked very closely with the late, great Sue Lloyd-Roberts making films for the Newsnight and Our World programmes and, overlapping that, for ten years I also worked very closely with the brilliant Stephen Sackur producing location editions of HARDalk and around 30 editions of the programme's documentary strand, HARDtalk on the road.
In addition, I have spent significant periods of time working with Zeinab Badawi, Martin Bell, Olenka Frenkiel and Lyse Doucet.

I am also experienced at producing / directing location and simultaneous translation interviews and at producing location discussion programmes.
In post-production I am well practiced at structuring programmes - film, interview and discussion - and at editing scripts.
Whether single handily or leading a team - I am skilled and experienced at taking projects from idea through to delivery - for radio, television & digital outlets.
