Alongside Steve Titherington and Mary Wilkinson commissioning, series editing and series producing a global season of programmes / pieces (television, radio & online) to run across all BBC Global News & Current Affairs outlets.
My role was to then develop half of those ideas into workable documentary treatments, put together suitable teams around the person who wrote the chosen idea and from then on to oversee the making of the films / radio documentaries from a production and editorial perspective. In all, in this season produced:

Generating documentary ideas and assessing submitted ideas. Commissioning films (often co-commissions with radio) and putting together teams to make them. Working with those teams to ensure they acquire sufficient access to the story and plan / set-up the right sequences and interviews to tell the story. Guiding the teams through changing plans and circumstances.
In post-production, helping the teams to structure and script the film.
