About David Coward

Series Producer/Director, Edit Producer and Development Producer with an academic background in art and history. Extensive experience directing and self-shooting overseas, in hazardous environments and war zones.

I've spent most of this year at home writing arts projects and preparing filming at the Turner Contemporary. Last year I was filming in Yemen, Eritrea and Yemen. Before that I was SP and PD on INVASION!, an

Series Producer/Director, Edit Producer and Development Producer with an academic background in art and history. Extensive experience directing and self-shooting overseas, in hazardous environments and war zones.

I've spent most of this year at home writing arts projects and preparing filming at the Turner Contemporary. Last year I was filming in Yemen, Eritrea and Yemen. Before that I was SP and PD on INVASION!, an historical factual entertainment 3 x 60 for BBC Four, which had exceptional ratings and was nominated for an RTS Award.

I've worked on observation documentary, history, comedy, arts, science, archaeology, current affairs and drama programmes for Channel 4, Discovery, Nat Geo, ITV, SkyOne, Weather, Spike and the BBC.

Very experienced in working in war zones and desert, mountain and jungle environments worldwide. Has written scripts, proposals and books to accompany programmes.

Also experienced in directing with crews, reconstructions, research, archive and self shooting (Canon XF 305, Sony FS7 and Alpha A7).

Has worked with presenters, new talent and contributors, art curators and historians.
