I am a creative, science-specialist Producer/Director, Series Producer and Edit Producer, with extensive experience across a wide variety of factual productions. My particular focus is on science, natural history and space. I have 20 years of television experience; with a solid background in biology, a wide-ranging interest in science, and a strong foundation in journalism and writing. I have extensive worldwide filming experience, including extreme environments. I am experienced in taking films from initial concept to final delivery; scripting complex science documentaries with tight narratives; single-camera directing in 2D and 3D; edit producing hour-long films (both 2D and 3D) for broadcasters including the BBC, Sky, National Geographic, Discovery and newer streaming services. I have experience of directing high- profile presenters, including Sir David Attenborough, Andrew Marr, Alice Roberts, Helen Czerski and Liz Bonnin. I have extensive working knowledge of the technicalities of 3D filming; experience of UHD production (including 4K and 5K); filming for cinematic and IMAX release; extensive macro filming experience; and significant VFX commissioning / workflow experience.
