Researcher

London

We have been commissioned to make 25x1hrs of the long running and award winning Channel 4 Daytime series 'Find It Fix It Flog It'. In this series presenters Henry Cole and Simon O'Brien rummage around in people's sheds, barns and out buildings trying to find items that they can restore or upcycle in order to make them money. Henry's passion is vintage vehicles and automotive memorabilia and Simon loves to upcycle things for people's homes.

Each 1hr episode has 2 different shed searches which means that we need to find 50 brilliant contributors with amazing sheds stuffed full of great items for the presenters to work with. Best way to see the series to give you an idea is on 4OD.

We have made 70x1hr episodes to date so know exactly what type of shed we are looking for. Now that the series has been running for a few years I am convinced that we should be able to get contributors who want to take part come to us. Exactly how we do that i'd like to hear your ideas on.

The aim is to find the shed locations as quickly as possible. We film 2 sheds per filming day and as these filming days can be stand alone we can fit this filming around the presenters busy schedules before opening up the restoration workshops in the spring.

Initially more of a researching role but there is the opportunity to take it further and really get involved in the planning and organisation of the filming for the whole series if it goes well.
