The Role

We are seeking an experienced candidate to join our team as a Virtual Production Pipeline Developer to build highly efficient and scalable workflows and pipeline tools to support extended reality content production at scale.

This is an initial 6 month contractor role based in our Holborn office, starting Feb 2020.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain pipeline software tools to support motion, volumetric and photogrammetry capture workflows, as well as live and real-time rendered productions.
Oversee operations, provide first-line support and provide final deliverables for production shoots.
Develop 3D asset pipeline management, versioning and optimisation tools.
Optimise 3D scenes and assets for real-time visualisation.
Collaborate with the Virtual Production Manager and creative content creators to identify pipeline needs and develop innovative solutions.
Write workflow and tool documentation; provide training as needed.


Skillset & Experience

Previous experience in VFX, video games or other digital production facility.
Understanding of real-time workflows and performance capture.
Familiarity with game engine workflows.
Familiarity with 3D modeling packages.
Experience with animation and motion editing.
Thorough knowledge of software design and development principles.
Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
Experience with developing graphical user interfaces (preferably with PyQt).
Proficiency with DCC editors, scripting and 3D tools.
Experience with Windows and Linux development environments.
Proficiency with version control systems.
Understanding of software deployment and automated CI/CD pipelines.
Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Highly effective verbal and written communicator; able to build rapport with diverse technical and creative team members as well as executive staff and external partners.
Strong organizational skills with a proactive mentality and creative problem-solving abilities.
Meticulously attentive to detail.
Passionate about virtual production, cutting-edge digital tools, scalable distribution and connectivity and the future of immersive content.
