Videographer/Video Editor

Hoxton, London

Candidates must be a film course degree graduate or have suitable experience in video production, and have a relevant portfolio of work. A thorough knowledge of current electronic music is also essential.

Point Blank is the UK's premier Electronic Music School teaching Higher Education courses validated by Middlesex University to degree level. Specialising in music production, sound engineering and DJ courses, we are recruiting a full-time videographer/video editor (Premiere Pro & After Effects) to work as part of a team to create exciting videos to promote our courses via our website and social networks. You will be working as part of the marketing department to generate regular tutorial and promotional content for our 2 million-plus online audience with the objective of increasing student enrolment.

Role Summary
¥ Creating promotional videos/tutorials for our electronic music school's website and social networks to promote our music courses, the Company and PR activities
¥ Working alongside established producers to create music tutorials and documentaries
¥ Filming electronic music events including exhibitions, lectures, club nights, conferences and artist interviews
¥ Creating exciting videos for web-savvy electronic music producers and enthusiasts with short attention spans
¥ Camera operating in weekly multi-camera live broadcasts
¥ Ensuring that all videos are consistent in terms of lighting, branding, styling and presentation
¥ Data transfer and media management
¥ Maintenance and upkeep of all camera equipment

Essential Skills & Requirements

¥ In-depth knowledge and experience of electronic music
¥ Proven experience using Premiere Pro and After Effects
¥ Proven experience using professional video cameras
¥ Keen understanding of current industry film & television equipment
¥ Experience in using a wide range of lighting and grip
¥ Experience in multi-track audio recording
¥ Strong understanding of video compression for web delivery
¥ Experience in live studio production is preferable, including live camerawork and vision mixing
¥ Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and complete videos to a high standard
¥ Willingness and ability to be flexible and work after hours when required
