Videographer

Bristol

Immediate Media has an exciting opportunity for a Videographer to join the BikeRadar team.

Immediate Media is the special interest content and platform company, with brands like Radio Times, BBC History, JewelleryMaker, Sewing Quarter, BBC Good Food, Top Gear, Hitched, and Gardeners World.

Creativity, innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit define our culture, so working with us is stretching and rewarding. We're a company that's changing fast, and we've created a culture which encourages people to give their best and thrive.

With over 550,000 subscribers BikeRadar's YouTube channel is one of the world's most popular online cycling resources. We're looking for a talented, creative and highly motivated bike-mad videographer to join our award-winning team.

The role will involve filming, editing and shaping the trusted, informative and inspirational content that our channel has built its reputation on.

In the mid- to long term the ideal candidate will transition into an all-round role where they'll be spending at least some of their time in front of the camera.

And of course, our new videographer will need to be passionate about bikes (riding them, talking about them, staring longingly at them), and hungry for the opportunity to make their own unique and positive mark on the BikeRadar brand.

Accountabilities
* Filming and editing editorial video.
* Working within the video team to continue development of our various formats while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
* Contributing original video ideas and voicing constructive opinions on those already in development.
* Working toward becoming a true all-rounder who'll be appearing in videos, attending international product launches and shows and becoming an important ambassador for BikeRadar.

Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
* Genuine passion for cycling on- and/or off-road. You don't need to be an incredible rider, but you do need to be healthily obsessed.
* Demonstrable interest in bike and video-production technology.
* Professional experience operating modern professional video cameras, ideally including Canon Cinema EOS & Sony FS.
* Practical and theoretical understanding of filming best-practices, and a desire to continue learning.
* Professional experience using non-linear editing software to turn around quick and technically proficient videos.
* Confidence to take initiative on a project to guarantee the best output, while staying within brief.
* Understanding of popular YouTube aesthetics, trends and formats.
* A desire to learn, grow and make every edit better than the last.
* Full UK driving license desirable
