Job Summary:
Want to kick-start your career at the world's biggest Music and Entertainment brand? MTV has an exciting opportunity for a Video Production Intern working in Digital Media.
We're looking for individuals that are bursting with creative ideas and enthusiasm as well as excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the know how to create compelling video for the social media generation. You'll love entertainment, music, celebrities, internet culture and be happy to get stuck in on whatever the job calls for. Ahead of the curve on all things digital, you're an expert on social media and know what works online.
Reporting to the producer, you'll learn the digital media business from the ground up. You'll be supporting the department across all aspects of production - from pitching ideas, shooting, editing and overseeing production admin and kit maintenance. The successful candidate will form an integral part of our very busy team and will thrive in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in day-to-day running of video content on the website and social channels
Assisting and taking lead on external shoots
Video editing for all platforms
Contributing to brainstorms and generating ideas for features and formats
Researching and writing
Drafting scripts
Drafting copy for the website and social media
Working with the production coordinator on risk assessments and call sheets
Assisting the producer with clearance processes
Encoding video for the website
Assisting the producer in finding and researching archive content
Ensuring up-keep of departmental digital archive system
Ensuring up-keep our of digital storage and sharing systems
Ensuring footage is found and logged correctly and in time for all edits
General department admin

Experience in a video production and editing environment

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Creative thinker who enjoys generating ideas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience filming and recording audio
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
Mac literate
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Competency in design software e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator
