Video Producer

Hearst Made has held ASDA's content account since 2015. In this time, the account has grown exponentially, delivering not only print and digital content, but also through-the-line photography and TV advertising.
Across 2018, Asda Good Living content and distribution channels have strategically evolved, what this means for 2019 digital is a strategic social focus with Instagram viewed as the lead channel.
In practice, this means us delivering a combination of image-led and moving-image (video, gif) assets. To ensure we can deliver the required amount of moving image assets we are recruiting a Video Producer to work within the team. Not only will you have the latest editing software skills, they'll be comfortable picking up a camera and shooting content with a view on narrative and edit.

The Role
• To capture video content as directed by the Creative/Art Director.
• To edit video content for ASDA Good Living, as directed by the Creative/Art Director.
• To ensure consistent video editing for the ASDA account and other Hearst Made projects as directed by the Digital Editor and digital team.
• Responsible for editing photography and recorded materials (eg, film/video footage) into finished AV format (eg, gif, video, cinemograph), as directed by the Digital Editor.
• To work in collaboration with the Junior Designer to ensure most efficient and effective delivery of all assets maximising complementary skill sets.

Key Responsibilities
• Capturing video footage on shoots as directed by Art Director
• Working with design team when relevant to create video shoot story bards
• Manipulating and editing stills and captured footage to suit the client's need.
• Creating bespoke video for social media and/or other platforms.
• Use current trends to Input relevant music, dialogues, graphics and effects into video.
• Create rough and final cuts depending on clients need.
• Stay abreast of social media (eg, Instagram) development.

About You:
• Knowledge of up-to-date (editing) software
• Ability to utilise handheld video equipment
• Ability to adapt to environment
• Keep ahead of social media trends and advancements
• Good eye for visual story
• InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and repro knowledge.
• Video editing skills.
• Digital knowledge to create GIFs, video for each platform as required.
• Ability to think creatively.
• A strong eye for detail.
