Video/ Motion Graphics Editor

London

The (award winning) Studio at Hearst UK is looking for a Video / Motion Graphics Editor who can help us advance our video offering, as part of a broad and collaborative team.

Working across all of our Hearst brands including ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Esquire and Harper's Bazaar the role will be part of a team that creates video and animated content for our websites and key social platforms, including Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and more.

As a team, we're always striving to innovate and excite our audiences. You will work alongside our in-house videographers and editors to push boundaries and create content that's fun, eye opening and shows off our unique in-house talent.

Passion, a sense of humour and a willingness to show off are all big positives.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Edit internally produced video content for branded campaigns
* Deliver video consistent with editorial brand voice and campaign strategy
* Repurpose video footage into social edits square and vertical formats, GIFs etc
* Keep up-to-date on video performance know how your content is performing and help develop strategies to increase engagement
* Create animations and motion graphics that are aligned with our visual brand guidelines
* Edit video from externally shot / supplied / stock assets
* Work with digital content editors and art directors in a collaborative way
* Seamlessly switch styles and aesthetics to suit our different brands and social platforms
* Keep an eye on social platforms, new styles of animation and video media and create innovative, engaging content for our audiences

ABOUT YOU
* Proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro (and the rest of the Adobe suite)
* Experience repurposing video into different social media formats is a must
* Photoshop, illustrator and digital design knowledge essential, to produce high-quality bespoke title cards, graphics and overlays, and images and GIFs for the site.
* Keen understanding of various social platforms and knowledge of what content works best on each
* Experience with basic camera work and lighting preferred
* Keen knowledge of different video styles, formats and distribution trends
* Ability to forecast workload and offer appropriate levels of detail and animation
* Commercial experience is an advantage but not a necessity
* Ability to master a variety of styles / aesthetics to suit different brands
* Creative vision and endless ideas
* A passion for content publishing and visual storytelling
* It is essential that you are a team player able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with our delivery teams and take direction from senior stakeholders
