Video Editor

You are an experienced editor and camera operator with lots of creative ideas for video production. Reporting to the Head of Digital Video, you will be working closely with the Video, Editorial and Creative teams on multiple projects on a day to day basis, adhering to MTV's brand guidelines, and helping strands evolve and grow in new digital landscapes.



As a skilled member of the team, you will ensure all your edits are compliant and delivered to deadlines and you may be called upon to provide support for junior editors and interns.

You're organised and great at communication, making sure all stakeholders are kept up-to-date during production.


The Always On team is at the heart of MTV's digital studio, creating daily editorial, creative and video content published across numerous UK and International social channels and ONO platforms. From MTV Shows to Music, Movies, Lifestyle, MTV News and more, the Always On team is a creative powerhouse, responsible for producing engaging and entertaining content for global audiences.



You'll need to own...



VIDEO PRODUCTION
• Editing video content for digital, social platforms to a high standard
• Shooting, lighting and recording audio - on location and in studio
• Ingest, organise and archive footage
• Coming up with new ideas to make your edits impactful and engaging



POST-PRODUCTION
• Colour correcting your edits
• Exporting and delivering assets to a variety of technical specifications
• Working with translation agency to re-version content into multiple languages and formats



DEPARTMENT
• Attending idea sessions to discuss future projects
• Assist production team with ad hoc requests
• Storing and collating materials for distribution and localisation



Must have these skills...


- proven experience working in a similar environment in digital video or broadcast teams
- Great knowledge of Premiere Pro is essential and experience using After Effects and the rest of the Adobe CC Suite
- Experience of using productivity tools such as Trello is desirable
- Interest and experience in news, entertainment and pop culture desirable- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to cope calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Pro-active nature and dedication to providing a first-class support service
- Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the department and MTV
- Good time management, organisational and forward planning skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with key contacts within the company
