Do you have experience of editing a weekly show with a quick turnaround, as well as long form content? We are looking for an experienced Video Editor to join our post production team.

As a Video Editor, you are responsible for delivering the post production vision set out by the Chief Editor and Content Manager. You will work across long form content as well as shorter, weekly show content and will assist the post production development of video content across premium channels. You will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills to deliver projects and see them through to completion.

We are looking for someone who can help to develop and inspire Assistant Editors, Creators and Filmmakers in their technical and creative ability. You will be responsible for developing a team in aspects of storytelling through the use of images, video, motion graphics/design and music by utilising your skills in pre and post-production.

This role reports into the Chief Editor, but will also work closely with the Content Manager, Production Manager and the Creative Director.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* 5+ years' experience as an editor
* Television and online content editing experience
* Weekly Show Editing Experience
* Experience with motion graphics/design
* Skilled using Premier, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects to efficiently navigate projects
* Experience with music and sound editing is required
* Experience working in a fast-paced work environment, with a quick turnaround for projects (weekly shows)
* Ability to manage long-term projects and content through to completion
* Ability to work independently as well as with other team members
* 3D graphic (Cinema 4D) experience would be a plus, but is not essential
* Experience working on a sports media platform, preferably cycling, would be preferred but is not essential

KNOWLEDGE
* Interest in / knowledge of cycling
* Proficiency in the following programs: Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
* Understanding of non-linear video and graphic production workflows, organisation, and storage
* Knowledge of the latest video compression techniques for web and broadcast delivery
* Proficiency with music and sound editing software

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the creative output of premium, long form content
* Mentor Edit Assistants, Filmmakers and Creators on their post production skills
* Keep up to date with emerging cycling industry trends
* Motivate the team, ensuring that the vision for the content is communicated and understood and that the editorial specification is set out clearly for all involved
* Identify and address any problems in the post production process quickly
* Deliver quality work on-time and on-budget
* Overseeing projects from start to finish, keeping to deadlines, and signing off projects before they are screened
* Ensure permission and rights for any licensed material used (music, images etc) are obtained
* Work with production to keep shoots within budget
* Support the PSN Equipment Manager to ensure all audio and video equipment is used according to instructions
* Work with the Creative Directors to help allocate resources / time for creative projects
* Occasional work on GCN's channels (including international channels) may also be required on occasion
