A short term position within Shorts International processing short film media to ensure it is formatted correctly for playout on the ShortsTV South Asia and ShortsTV EMEA channels (5 days per week, 6 month contract with possibility extend)

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to Head of Vide

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
* Coordinate all media processing activities with the channel scheduler
* Schedule media required for the TV channel to be processes to the correct specification
* Ensure interstitials and special projects from the Production department are scheduled into the workflow and processed
* Work with the Contracts and Materials Coordinator to ensure media is available for processing
* Quality Control new media deliveries
* Adjust audio levels in media as required
* Accomplish frame rate conversions as required
* Transcode media to the Playout Facility specifications
* Order subtitles and send proxies to the sub-titling vendor
* Burn sub-titles into processed media (as required)
* Ensure sub-titles are timed correctly, accurate to the story line, and grammar is correct without spelling errors
* Quality control processed / transcoded media
* Ship or upload materials to the playout facility per schedule
* Support other channel operations as required
* Able to support shift work

OTHER TASKS
* Updating US website/graphic design work/on air promo labelling

Knowledge
* Preferably a degree in film studies with emphasis on the technical side
* Knowledge of the use of software processing suites: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, * Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Encore), Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro, DVD Pro, Sound Track Pro, etc), Digidesign Pro Tools, Vantage, VIDChecker

Skills
* High degree of computer literacy is important, MAC and PC competent
* Must be skilled in the following software packages: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, * Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Encore), Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro, DVD Pro, Sound Track Pro, etc.), Digi-design Pro Tools,
* Must have a high level of organizational skills due to lead times for deliverables
* Must have an attention to detail
* The ability to produce accurate and consistent work under pressure
* Excellent communicator with multi task capabilities
