TV Programme Scheduler

Twyford, Reading

Responsibilities

* The role purpose is to create schedules, ensuring that they are completed to agreed deadlines, standards and brand values
* The role requires analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail, great content knowledge and a real understanding of processes within a media environment
* This role involves the accurate production and delivery of monthly, multi-territory schedules and opt-outs
* Working with the Channel Managers to develop, implement and communicate promotional, owned, ad strategies and plans for the linear broadcast including local opt-outs

Role
* Accountable for the creation of Ofcom and business compliant transmission schedules including: programme information, commercial breaks, promotions, sponsorship, graphics, continuity announcements and all channel branding
* Responsible for creating accurate and aesthetically pleasing schedules by gathering all the necessary broadcast elements from across the business and downloading them in time for transmission, which requires collaboration with many departments and third parties
* Create, deliver and manage compelling programme schedules that are aligned with the needs of key stakeholders and meet channel KPIs within budget
* Ensure clear and timely communication of scheduling plans with key departments
* Ensure all scheduling systems and documents up-to-date and accurate in accordance with key deadlines
* Maintain scheduling plans across platforms identifying opportunities and risks
* Generate draft content schedules for new content service from initial brief
* Prepare schedules, making sure all promotions reflect media plan and secondary events, opt-out cues and any other transmission instructions are correctly added
* Ensure schedules are 100% accurate before sending to transmission
* Send schedules for transmission and other relevant departments on time
* Maintain a creative level of presentation elements across all feeds in line with branding
* Maintain the editorial tone of voice and ensuring consistency across the piece
* Schedule cross promotions and their placements within the schedules, including opt-outs
* Track delivery of promotional inventory to ensure all is delivered on time for transmission
* Liaise with broadcast department on any changes or errors that may occur and adjust schedules accordingly
* May need to work outside normal working hours / shift work
* Must live within a short commute of Twyford, Reading RG10
