Technical Producer

First Sight Media are one of the country's leading video, streaming and events production companies, with over 25 years' operation and experience.
Based in West Oxfordshire, First Sight Media are recruiting for a Technical Producer to join the team in a broad and diverse role. Working alongside other members of the technical team, you will work directly with the Production Director and Managing Director to fulfil a variety of projects ranging from webinars to awards shows.
To complement the existing team, First Sight Media are looking for a well-rounded candidate with a particular background in live events AV production including audio, lighting, projection and staging. You will be expected to liaise with clients to ensure briefs are being adhered to whilst fulfilling a range of technical roles on-site dependent on the project requirements.
Client communication and the ability to manage small teams of freelance staff is important as well as liaising with other stakeholders such as event venues and production partners. Exposure to the overall processes of producing events and projects would be hugely beneficial.
The role would suit someone with an additional interest in video production as this forms the primary end-product of most First Sight Media projects.
Skills Required:
• Minimum of 2-3years active experience in a technical role encompassing multiple aspects of live events AV, including audio (digital mixing desks and PA systems), lighting, staging and projection;
• Experience with interacting and interfacing with AV systems and understanding of
o overall goals and principles in events production situations;
• An interest in video production and live streaming as the primary end-product provided to clients, with willingness to expand knowledge in these areas;
• IT literacy with Microsoft Office experience and exposure to the Adobe Creative Suite,
o in particular, Premiere Pro experience would be extremely useful. Some knowledge of web-streaming and video conferencing principles would be advantageous;
• Ability and willingness to 'muck in' with other team members and learn new skills across
o different aspects of events AV production, both in the office and on-site at events;
• Some evidence of experience in client management and dealing with customers both face-to-face and remotely;
• Planning and pre-production experience favourable;
• Some knowledge of storeroom management beneficial.
