We are seeking a Technical Facilities Engineer to be responsible for electrical systems, including test inspection, mechanical power equipment, control wiring and fault finding.Good communication skills to be able to discuss work and progress with customers and relevant managers are essential.ABOUT THE ROLEJob Purpose:The facilities engineer's role will be to have technical knowledge of electrical systems, including test inspection, mechanical power equipment, control wiring and fault finding.You must have good communication skills to be able to discuss work and progress with customers and relevant managers.Primary Tasks:Reporting to the Technical Facilities ManagerSupervise the Facilities management provider, daily operation, rota, PPM and incident reporting.Advise on relevant repair issues and assisting with fault finding and resolving issues in the most cost effective wayImprove the efficiency of the site by implementing technical and design improvementMaintain the stock levels for essential spare parts and raising requests for replacementsDiagnose and fix breakdown faults, to maintain an effective maintenance serviceEnsure that preventative and reactive maintenance is managed as well as regular maintenance service across all site equipment alongside the planned preventative maintenance schedulesPreventing and stopping any unsafe situations, and maintaining a safe and tidy place of workWork with the company to meet its legal obligations, and demonstrate health and safety of the staff is of the highest importanceHelp with designing the risk assessment and with the preparation of Safe Operating Procedures and follow all safety proceduresCheck and ensure all appropriate paperwork is completedAct as a role model to ensure health and safety is and stays 'top of the agendaAdditional duties when required by facilities managementManage and control RAMSManage and control all department contractsPrepare project implementation plan in MS projectPrepare electrical SMDB and DB load schedule as per requirementEnsure that all projects being implemented are aligned with the plansPrepare technical reportsPrepare high level design drawings for projectEnsure smooth site operation welfare, and health and safety measuresWeekly and Monthly report project progress report for every month to line managerThe above responsibilities are not limited to the description and may be modified by the company at any time.ABOUT YOUEssential Skills:You will have experience of working on site services equipment/amenities and be responsible enough to work on your own for large periods of timeExcellent communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsPossess the ability to work hard under pressure, ability to multi-task effectivelyTo be able to work as a team player and as a pro-active individualHigh level of organisation, with the ability to multi task and prioritise workloadCan continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and maintains a sense of pace and urgency so that actions and initiatives are implementedCommercially aware and knowledgeable in industry standards, with clear understanding of the 'internal customerCreates and sustains mutually beneficial relationships enabling the business to gain valueDevelops excellent understanding of individual needs, concerns and demonstrates the added value of the service provided.Desired Skills & Experience:BSc Electrical/Mechanical Degree or equivalent, 17th edition wiring regulations, City and Guilds 2382 and 2391 testing and inspection certificationTime served Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. Ideally Multi-Skilled with at least 5 years' experienceCity & Guilds Electro-Mechanical qualification or equivalent. ONC preferredThe ability to work on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems. Broad based engineering skills. Computer literate with PLC experienceFault finding and maintenance experience of facilities equipment, both electrical and mechanicalStrong understanding of Health and Safety procedures and policiesArabic Language Skill is an advantage.
