Purpose:
The Technical facilities engineer's role will be to have technical knowledge of electrical systems, including test inspection, mechanical power equipment, control wiring and fault finding.
Must have good communication skills to be able to discuss work and progress with customers and relevant managers.
Primary Tasks:
· Supervise the Facilities management provider, daily operation, rota, PPM and incident reporting.
· Advise on relevant repair issues and assisting with fault finding and resolving issues in the most cost effective way.
· Improve the efficiency of the site by implementing technical and design improvement.
· Maintain the stock levels for essential spare parts and raising requests for replacements.
· Diagnose and fix breakdown faults, to maintain an effective maintenance service.
· Ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance is managed as well as regular maintenance service across all site equipment alongside the planned preventative maintenance schedules.
· Preventing and stopping any unsafe situations, and maintaining a safe and tidy place of work.
· Work with the company to meet its legal obligations, and demonstrate health and safety of the staff is of the highest importance.
· Help with designing the risk assessment and with the preparation of Safe Operating Procedures and follow all safety procedures.
· Check and ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed.
· Act as a role model to ensure health and safety is and stays 'top of the agenda.
· Additional duties when required by facilities management.
· Manage and control RAMS.
· Manage and control all department contracts.
· Prepare project implementation plan in MS project.
· Prepare electrical SMDB and DB load schedule as per requirement.
· Ensure that all projects being implemented are aligned with the plans.
· Prepare technical reports.
· Prepare high level design drawings for project.
· Ensure smooth site operation welfare, and health and safety measures.
· Weekly and Monthly report project progress report for every month to line manager

Requirements:
· BSc Electrical/Mechanical degree or equivalent, 17th edition wiring regulations, City and Guilds 2382 and 2391 testing and inspection certification.
· Time served Mechanical or Electrical Engineer. Ideally Multi-Skilled with at least 5 years' experience.
· City & Guilds Electro-Mechanical qualification or equivalent. ONC preferred.
· Working on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems. Broad based engineering skills.
· Strong understanding of Health and Safety procedures and policies.
· Arabic Language Skill is an advantage.
