Technical Edit Assistant working across multiple cycling documentaries.

This is a full time role and will be based in our Office in central Bath (Will include some working from home).
Candidates need to be available in April.

The purpose of this role is to assist the Post Production Operations Coordinator with managing delivery of video assets on a monthly basis.
The Technical Edit Assistant is integral for facilitating delivery of assets ranging from app deliverables, to trailers, to subtitled assets.
It's a varied role with a strong technical background essential with a keen eye for detail also required.
This is not an entry level role - Previous production or post production facility experience is essential.

Your core duties will include but will not be limited to:
Ingesting of footage from filmmakers to be stored on the Editshare server.
Renaming rushes per the naming convention & creating proxies where applicable
Creating new projects in Premiere, importing media and organising it for editors
Preparing drives for newly starting edits.
Taking on editor demands as required i.e. sourcing footage from other documentaries or GCN videos, restoring rushes from LTO
Implementation of QC Fixes post Ext QC & creation of deliverables (Max. 1-2 days)
Media management of documentary project back onto the server.
Providing documentary deliverables to the Post Production Operations Coordinator for final review.
General upkeep of GDrive and DocExports on Editshare.

Subtitles
Re-creating any subtitles done internally into full SRT files as needed.
Laying up SRT files from external suppliers based on production script.
Checking of subtitles against internal spec, correcting mistakes before then exporting a new master file out of Premiere and converting it to VTT

Trailers
Relinking externally cut trailer to clean documentary asset
Facilitating grade/audio fixes as required.
Exporting final asset for app delivery and socials.
