The TA is an expert in their field and holds a wealth of knowledge in dealing with the technical issues around content creation for video games. The TA will produce work that is at the highest level of quality and difficulty and have a proven track record of resolving the most complex and broad reaching challenges in relationship to content construction, pipeline management and cutting-edge visuals.Responsibilities:Provide technical art and animation tool support for the animation teamEnforce asset organisation and standardizationBuild advanced rigs to handle character, creature and set piece animationAnalyse and troubleshoot all aspects of the animation pipelineWork with animation team on optimization and performance strategiesBe the communication conduit between programming and art disciplinesCollaborate and share knowledge on latest advancements with other technical experts within the companyParticipate in setting vision for content and tools and collaborate with engineers to develop cutting edge tools and technologiesReview / integrate animation solutions or help develop new onesAdvise the art team on technical issues as they ariseQualificationsDeep rigging, skinning and animation knowledgeComfortable scripting tools in DCC / engine to support the animation pipelines (Python, C#, C++, Lua, MAXScript, MEL, ...)You have experience working with version control systems like Perforce or GitBroad understanding of rendering pipeline including PBR, materials, lighting, occlusion culling, post-effect, ...Deep knowledge of one or more digital content creation packages (Maya, Houdini, Blender, 3DSMax, Motionbuilder, Modo, ZBrush, ...) and open to learn new ones when requiredExperience of industry standard game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity or LumberyardExperience working with motion capture dataDeep understanding of an animator's needs and requirementsGenuine interest in playing gamesBonus skills:You've shipped a AAA title for desktop, console or mobileTool development experience in LumberyardExperience with FACSExperience working with motion capture suitsExperience baking destruction to animationKnowledge of physical based animation / motion matchingMachine learningExperience working with source control APIs (perforce, git, ...)Experience with data visualization (Excel, Plotly, Dash, Tableau, ...)Understanding of C++, graphics API (DX11/12, Vulkan, ...)
