Studio Manager

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Staff
Greeting new freelancers making sure they feel at home
Making sure freelancers have everything they need when they start
Based on the job: the correct software, cintiqs, wacoms, logins, set up on all internal communication, slack etc.
Scheduling desks across projects with the production team
Managing our freelancer database
Triaging emails from info@theline and forwarding stuff to the right people. Adding new applications to the database.
Organise social activities amongst employees. Staff parties, dinners, drinks, etc.
Help producers with organising travel for staff and write itineraries
Clients

Meetings
Booking the meeting room
Making sure the studio is presentable
Making sure the TV is set up and working for video conference calls
Sorting out food and drinks if it is a lunch meeting
Sending out thank you cards/ gifts

Scheduling
Schedule internal meetings
Take minutes on production meetings
Manage the line calendars
Scheduling full time staff, overseeing time keeping.
Manage The Line to-do list in Trello. Keep it up to date as things are done.
Manage our internal tracking software, Airtable, Google Drive, Trello, calendars, Realtimeboard, readymag etc.

Bookkeeping
Managing receipts and prepping them for accounting
Managing petty cash

Front of house
Answering phones
Make sure the communal areas are looking presentable and a nice space to work
Making sure peoples desks look tidy and presentable
Make sure the studio is fully stocked e.g, coffee, tea, milk etc
Be responsible for organising all services undertaken to the studio Eg. Cleaners, and building works carried out, electricians
Health and safety

IT
Work with off-site IT support services
Reporting problems from staff to the support services
Implementing solutions according to instructions provided by support services
Organising the maintenance and repair of IT hardware
Execute simple administration tasks on the server

Experience & Skills desired for the role:
Evidence of a passion for and professional interest in the animation industry
Education to degree level, ideally related to animation but this is not essential.
Experience managing or assisting in the running of a creative studio.
Previous experience in the animation, advertising or film production
