RYOT Studio's Virtual Production Team are building the future of immersive content, experiences and story-telling. With state-of-the-art motion, volumetric and photogrammetry capture alongside real-time virtual production technology, RYOT Studio are driving breakthrough technologies for creative content production, distribution and connectivity at scale.

The Role

We are seeking a multi-faceted, hands-on Studio Head of Technology to oversee the strategy, development and operations of the Virtual Production Team. They will lead the delivery of the capabilities, services, and products required to meet the company's business goals in three primary areas of responsibility: technical achievement, strategic vision, and financial and operational knowledge.


This is an initial 6 month contractor role based in our Holborn office, starting Feb 2020.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, operation, production workflow and maintenance of our motion, volumetric and photogrammetry capture and virtual production facilities.
Work with creative producers, clients and stakeholders across a variety of project specifications to develop extended reality media content.
Direct and participate in day to day operations, making key decisions and trade-offs with technical and production resources and budget allocation.
Lead the Virtual Production team in developing and refining highly scalable production, media and data workflows, best practices and standards.
Drive significant business growth by providing and meeting business, financial and operational targets.
Set the strategy for the technical direction of the Virtual Production Team; initiate research and development efforts to discover new creative technology use cases.
Liaise with the Video Studios Team to identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration and increased workflow efficiency.


Skillset & Experience

10+ years experience in leading technical teams in creating video games, VFX, 3D or extended reality content.
Thorough understanding of production workflows, capture environments, real-time rendering and related tools and technology.
Experience managing a diverse team with an emphasis on mentoring, coaching and career development.
Highly effective verbal and written communicator; able to build rapport with diverse technical and creative team members as well as executive staff and external partners.
Strong organizational skills with a proactive mentality and creative problem-solving abilities.
Meticulously attentive to detail.
Passionate about virtual production, cutting-edge digital tools, scalable distribution and connectivity and the future of immersive content.
