We are seeking a Studio Director / Manager to join our Studios team, working across a range of original and brand partnership content. Our Studios team have just overseen the expansion of our Central London facility that includes 3 x Video Studios (incorporating a range of multi-camera, broadcast AR and mo-cap systems), 2 x broadcast galleries and a podcast audio suite. We're looking for someone to manage our broadcast crew, oversee the day-to-day shooting schedules and equipment management, and direct a range of content including live multi-camera broadcasts and remote broadcast content.For the past 3 months our team have been working with fully-remote multi-camera streaming solutions, and this will continue to be part of our offering as we introduce a phased return to on-site studio operations. We are currently producing a lot of video content, but a big focus of our wider team is creative technology and systems that 5G will help drive forward - 3D, AR, motion capture, AI etc. Whilst we're not expecting applicants to have extensive background in these areas, we are looking for someone who is open to new technology and excited about new developments to enhance video content of the future. This will start becoming a bigger part of our production world and we're embracing the opportunities. Role responsibilities include:- Directing live and pre-recorded broadcasts, both from our studio gallery or using remote broadcast software- Acting as one of the main points of contact for any broadcast / technical studio activities and advising on best practice and solutions- Own the studio shoot calendar, liaising with various producers and editorial teams to find slots that work for video shoots and podcasts- Own the kit booking system for a range of field shoot equipment including cameras, lights, tripods, sound equipment etc- Managing day-to-day activities of a 4-6 person studio team and various on-set freelance specialists if the project requiresExperience required:- Live directing / vision mixing in-gallery and using remote solutions eg. Ecamm, Openreel, OBS etc- Directing talent and crew via talkback- Knowledge of broadcast studio / gallery equipment and various connectivity options- Working with clients and various creative stakeholders- Managing day-to-day activities of a studio team- Feeding into studio Risk Assessments with producers and the Director of Video & StudiosThis role is based in London and will be a mixture of remote and in our Studio in Holborn. This role will require some broadcast equipment being sent to a home location for a remote gallery setup. Starting in August until the end of the year. Thanks!
