ITV Entertainment in MediaCityUK are looking to engage the services of a SOUND OPERATOR to join our team for a period of 12 months as maternity cover.

Our studio is one of the busiest in the country, producing regular shows like Jeremy Kyle, Judge Rinder, Countdown and University Challenge, and we have a rare opportunity to offer the right person a position with us.

You will work closely with the Senior Sound Supervisor to deliver sound excellence in the studio environment either as a Floor Sound Operator or Gram Operator and build contacts and trust with production teams. Working within all studios, and occasionally working on continuing drama and outside broadcasts (OBs).

The successful candidate will have experience of studio floor work, grams operating and guarantee engineering. Our Sound Operator will be conversant with Calrec Apollo and Artemis sound desks, Riedel communication systems, Sennheiser radio microphones, Phonak IFBs and SpotOn playback software. Competency and speed with either Reaper, Cubase or Audition editing software will also be required. You must possess excellent people skills and be capable of swift and creative problem solving.

You will endeavor to keep abreast of appropriate new technologies & trends whilst ensuring all H&S legislation and company policies are adhered to.

The nature of production can be unpredictable and people may be required to work longer hours at short notice including occasional weekends and bank holidays. Employees are expected to work their hours flexibly so a flexible approach to work and working hours is required
