We are looking for a Sound & Video Supervisor - Video Bias, to join the Sound & Video Team at the National Theatre.The ideal candidate will be an active and engaged member of the Sound & Video department, responsible for the technical realisation of NT productions from concept through to daily running of shows. This role has a particular focus on Video across the NT's three theatres as well as the NT's rehearsal, exhibition and Learning spaces. You will also play a key operational role in the production process, providing expert specialist technical services in order to support artistic ambition, with a focus on Video.Roles undertaken include Production Video Engineer and Programmer. As well as show operation, the Supervisor takes part in fit ups, changeovers and get outs.As a senior member of the department, you will proactively contribute to the team and the theatre. You will work both autonomously and with supervision, leading and mentoring other technicians - particularly with regards to Video, whilst providing support for the Sound & Video Department.You may be invited to design and/or assist in the video design of shows for the National Theatre.You will be working in the Sound & Video Department, which is made up of operational staff responsible for realising and maintaining the Sound & Video designs for productions and other events in repertoire. There is also a resources team of technicians who manage and maintain equipment providing support to productions on-stage and off in other areas across the NT as well as managing, operating and supporting a fully-equipped recording studio.If you have experience delivering video requirements for productions, have worked with complex video systems within a theatre, collaborated with designers and production teams, and have a desire to push the boundaries of video practice within theatre we would love to hear from you.Appointment ProcedurePlease note that applications can only be considered if they are submitted through the National's Online Recruitment System, and returned by the closing date.The closing date for the receipt of completed application forms is: 12 noon, Monday 1st April 2019
