Culture Trip is a global hyper-growth startup operating in travel, media and entertainment. They create stories that reveal what is unique and special about a place, its people and its culture. In-house creative teams work with a global network of more than 300 freelance creators to produce articles, videos, photography, illustration and animation.
From just a dozen people in late 2016, the team has expanded to more than 250. This diverse group of software engineers, product designers, data scientists, editorial experts and content creators are spread across offices in London, New York City and Tel Aviv.
Alumni of companies including Google, Facebook, Expedia, Lonely Planet, Viacom and the BBC have joined recently.
Series B funding of $80 million, led by the PPF Group, has further propelled rapid growth. Monthly unique visitors to the site have gone from four million to over 15 million, cross-platform social followers have increased from one million to seven million and app downloads have leapt
from 50,000 to over two million. Culture Trip videos have been viewed more than two billion times.

We're looking for an inspiring, creative and data-driven Social Video Lead to join our growing production team at Culture Trip. Based in our London office you'll be responsible for the team who produce highly engaging videos for our global social channels.
You will be social-first in your thinking and want to tell amazing stories from around the world. We want our social audience to engage with the Culture Trip brand, on all platforms, but also to drive a segment of them to the Culture Trip site.
You will be responsible for agreeing the strategy of the team and how it strengthens the overall development of the business. You will also be responsible for the team's output, helping them develop both their ideas and their execution as we up our game in social video once again.
Your team will conceptualise, research, pitch, produce, shoot and edit high quality films that inspire our audience to travel and learn about interesting cultural differences around the world. Their roles involve video output by freelance remote 'hub' Filmmakers, in-house productions, UGC content from contributors and footage from our platform partner Wochit. You will help us grow this team as Culture Trip's ambitions increase.
It's important in this role that you have a strong appreciation of cultural subtleties, as we create films that span territories across the globe. You will help us create films that convey this diversity, while evolving and adhering to a recognizable Culture Trip style.

You will report directly to our Director of Visual Content in London and be part of the Chief Content Officer's Wider Editorial Leadership Team.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead the team to consistently produce social films with an emphasis on storytelling
* Drive the social video strategy, working closely with the Global Media Director and Growth team
* Deliver the target output agreed with the Growth team
* Executive produce the editorial work of the social video team
* Lead the team to deliver high quality and engaging video that supports Culture Trip's mission, and within a tight budget
* Help build our brand awareness and drive target users to culturetrip.com
* Represent and champion social video across the company
* Develop the skills and careers of your team
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Creative, communicative and collaborative
* Strong background in social video storytelling
* Demonstrated ability to engage a video audience
* Track record of success in growing followers and engagement on social platforms
* Data-driven, with a test and learn approach
* Experience of production team management
* Good journalistic skills to help develop our caption-writing style
* Ability to write a script where necessary
* Knowledge of Adobe Premiere
* Knowledge of the filmmaking with cameras like Sony FS7 and Sony A7S
* You should be passionate about creating entertaining, snackable films about cultures and experiences all around the world
* The ability to work at speed in a fast turnaround environment, without sacrificing quality
* Appreciation of global audience and subtlety of cultural differences
* Active social media user with experience of various social channels
* Be comfortable juggling multiple projects simultaneously
* Passion for culture, travel, food, art, lifestyle will come in handy
