Social Media Manager

London

This role will act as Karen Millen and Coast brand guardian across the Social Media landscape with focused attention on delivering social strategy, channel growth and content creation. This person will be responsible for driving brand awareness while protecting the brand DNA, accelerating engagement and commerce through the power of social media and playing a pivotal part in the marketing strategy.

Reporting into the Head of Brand, the role will work closely with the brand marketing and digital team to achieve engagement and growth KPIs

Job Summary:

• Develop the Karen Millen and Coast social media strategy and its execution to drive KPIs including brand awareness, engagement and performance.

• Create monthly social media plans aligned with marketing calendar including social stories, competitions, sponsored activity, a/b tests.

• Responsible for managing and ensuring all social content is consistent and aligned with brand guidelines, with a focus on overall brand aesthetic and messaging.

• Manage monthly social plans across channels including content, competition, shoots and influencer activity.

• Responsible for budget forecast and management by activity and updating the trade plan each week..

• Deliver accurate reporting on performance by channel highlighting growth potential.

• Manage social media assistant - including overseeing projects, workflow, deadlines and performance reviews.

• Working closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders in PR, creative, paid, ecomm, buying and merchandising.



Social Media and Content:

• Plan, brief, and execute timely delivery of all social media content aligned with marketing calendars across both brands, including briefing in all product and lifestyle stories.

• Deliver social media plan by channels covering content ideas, photo-shoots, competitions and partnerships.

• Generate ideas for social-first activity - whether that be reactive, competition-based or shoot- led.

• Push the creative boundaries and deliver social-first content optimised for channels.

• Continually test new content, features, and formats to evaluate engagement, brand sentiment and performance.

• Manually post on IG stories, monitor IG comments and document how customers are responding to the brand imagery, messaging and product.

• Actively researching and testing emerging social platforms, such as TikTok, strategising how we can elevate our brand across them.

Influencers:

• Work collaboratively with the influencer team as the brand guardian to ensure all influencer content is relevant, on-brand and elevates our products.

• Update influencer document and research new influencers that embody our brand DNA (style and values).

• Contribute to influencer outreach and influencer reports.

General:

• Integrate social activity across other marketing channels including email, web and paid e.g. maximise opportunity of user- generated content including #MyKM and #WeAreCoast.

• Manage all social-led partnerships including communication, briefing, legal and channel execution.

• Work closely with customer services to track brand sentiment and community engagement.

• Develop crisis and complain processes in collaboration with customer services.

• Work with Digital Marketing Manager to align brand and paid social activity, optimising communication and the marketing plan.

• Work with tracking tools to report and deliver weekly, monthly and seasonal KPIs.

• Constant consideration for the social user journey and onwards journey onto karenmillen.com.

• Deliver ongoing customer insights and feedback to wider business.

• Monitor competitors and be aware of marketing changes and developments.

• Research emerging social media platforms, trends, applications and customer target behaviour
