BBC Children's are currently seeking a Series Producer for our new scripted comedy, The Amelia Gething Complex. The role will commence in March 2019 and run until the end of September 2019 (exact dates TBC). Please be aware, the location of this production is still to be confirmed, it will either be based in MediaCityUK, Salford or Pacific Quay, Glasgow. We therefore welcome applications from applicants who could be based in either Salford or Glasgow.Role Responsibility To specifically oversee the creation and delivery of the full new commission 'The Amelia Gething Complex' working with all stakeholders, agents, writers and Production team,. To deliver the commissioned programme on budget, on time and to all agreed platforms within an pre-determined timetable. To develop and grow new talent and cast to where necessary To be responsible for overseeing the scripting and editorial compliance of the new series. (Working with writers and Script Editors and closely with Amelia's team) To push the boundaries and explore the potential of making this a groundbreaking new comedy for a crowded marketplace - building a distinctive and eye catching brand. To encourage diversity in Production and on screen.Are you the right candidate? To demonstrate an understanding of the editorial ambitions of the BBC Children's In-House Production department and a passion for creating entertaining and engaging content for our young, diverse audiences. Experience of working on scripted comedy content, and previous experience of working with Writers and Script Editors is essential. Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team throughout the Production process. To demonstrate the experience and ability to be able to work in a pressurized scripted and location based comedy programme - driving a can-do culture that is open and progressive.
