Working alongside our podcast, video, radio, digital and social teams you will be encouraged to create outstanding, engaging video content and series that directly serve our audiences on-platform, as well as content that effectively promotes these assets on social media.Specifically, this will involve producing promo creative and standalone/hero videos that entice people to listen to our podcasts and to download Global Player!3 best things about the jobEvery day is different - you will be working across a huge breadth of content.Working with a hugely passionate team - you will learn a lot quickly!The opportunity to work on big video projects and to challenge yourself.Measures of success - In the first few months, you would have:Understood the vast array of content housed on Global Player and influenced how it's displayed and optimised for video.Crafted and evolved Global Player's video output - from podcast visualisation to the creation and delivery of original formats/series and large scale productions for publication on social media and Global Player.Successfully managed the high level of video requests and decided when to do them yourself, when to delegate and when to ask for help or extra resource.Worked creatively and collaboratively with the talent involved in our many podcasts and productionsInfluenced the strategy behind our video content whilst answering the appropriate questions. What are we making? Why are we making it? What platform is it for? How should we adapt the edit for platform? How could we improve it?Learned new, and perfected existing, video production skills and techniques.Fostered, grown and developed strong working relationships between podcast, video, radio, social and digital team stakeholders.Maintained video production excellence across the board.Maintained consistent, timely and professional communication across the business.Understood and adopted internal processes, workflows and policies.Responsibilities of the roleProducing promo creative and standalone/hero videos that entice people to listen to our podcasts and to download Global Player.You will be responsible for creating memorable video content that amplifies our podcasts and Global player original video series. Your video content will need to help bring new audiences to both.Working with the various radio teams to amplify what they are doing on-air, in video.Lead ideas sessions to find new ways of bringing the best out of our talent, and innovative approaches to engage our audiencesWhat you will needThe ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:Be first and foremost a creative individual, able to generate exciting ideas that works specifically for digital and social, and can get noticedBe able to craft a narrative through a piece of workHave proven industry experience of producing social media assets and or TV promo for creative campaignsHave an expert knowledge of video production techniques and workflows.Intermediate/Expert knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro is a requirement. Experience with other Adobe Suite apps such as After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage.Knowledge of advanced filming / camera operating techniques.Knowledge of professional audio capture and processing is also desirable.A solid understanding of the digital & social media landscape, the need to adapt content per platform and ability to plan shoots to cater for them.Adept at handling and prioritising multiple ongoing projects and partners, and clearly communicating with multiple stakeholdersA can-do attitude, willing to go above and beyond, to always be professional and courteous towards your colleagues and external contractorsEveryone is welcome at Global Just like our media and entertainment platforms are for everyone, so are our workplaces.
