Blast! Films are looking for a senior shooting PD for our highly acclaimed BBC Two social mobility series Generation Gifted. The series is longitudinal and throughout 3 academic school years we are following 6 bright teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds, both at home and school, as they work towards their final GCSE exams next summer.

This will be our third year of filming and we are looking for a strong FS7 shooter who is able to manage complex relationships with young people and their parents, as well as their schools and headteachers. Experience working on sensitive access BBC Two / C4 / ITV 9pm observational documentaries is essential, along with good organisational skills, and in interest in young people and education would be helpful.

We're producing 2 x 60' episodes each year and you will be covering three teenagers to make one of the two episodes for this final year. You will have ownership of one film and will be taking it to the edit so previous edit experience on prime time obs docs is essential.

You will be filming in various locations around the UK, the edit is in London and the contract will run from November 2018 (although there is some flexibility for a later start date) until August 2019 (TBC). Please note: in Nov/ Dec this would be a P/T contract, then full time from Jan 2019.
