BBC Studios is the main TV production arm of the BBC. It is a major supplier of high quality content and the source of many of the BBC's most creative and inspiring programmes.

One of our programmes, is looking for an experienced series producer with experience in overseeing the making and delivery of live studio shows.

Please note: this role is London based and will then transition to Manchester for the remainder of this contract.

Role Responsibility
As Series Producer, you will lead the team on output that can be pressured and contentious, but is high impact and particularly resonates with the audience, ensuring we maintain our high editorial standards whilst being creative in our production. This role requires the highest standards of creativity and popular journalism, all to be achieved against tight deadlines and budgets, and all the while displaying excellent management and leadership skills.

The Ideal Candidate
With substantial experience as a factual Series Producer and a background in daily news and/or current affairs TV at senior level, you'll have a track record of managing a production from ideas generation through to delivery. Evidence of sound editorial judgement and the ability to lead a team is essential, as are good writing skills, significant management experience, and experience of organising and keeping on top of changing schedules in a fast-moving environment with often contentious material.
