Senior Production Manager

Your key responsibilities:

Demonstrating enthusiasm & initiative, the Senior Production Manager will have the ability to work both independently under pressure & as part of their team, consistently delivering accurate results quickly. You should be able to prioritise to ensure deadlines are met in efficient and proactive ways. - Ensure the cost of the entire production remains within the budgeted parameters through good communication with Head of Sport & Producers, Production, Operations & finance teams. Complex budget ownership required with the ability to organise the structure of a strand to be delivered by themselves or others within the team
- Produce comprehensive, accurate and clear production planning & reporting for all content production to be delivered by themselves or others, including timetable of events for all stakeholders. Work with content teams and production team to own all demand and supply requirements for given productions
- Perform site surveys. Assess technical capabilities, risk and logistics to deliver a safe working environment whilst enabling fantastic coverage. Drive health & safety awareness & best practice through all content production, from OBs to single camera ENG shoots, to work in Sky Studios
- Delivery of ad hoc project work, with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines. Advising Operations team when procuring supplier contracts using researched information, industry knowledge & content/technical team feedback
- Liaise with Transmission and MCR/Satellite Operations & scheduling during planning and broadcast
- Liaise with Outside Broadcast companies & Sky's internal teams to organise all technical & facility requirements
- Liaise with Stadium & Site owners to ensure necessary arrangements required for production
- Deliver the training programme of production management skills, workflows and techniques to ensure consistency of approach across Production Co-Ordinators and Production Managers where appropriate.

Your skills:

- Extensive live sports outside broadcast & studio production management experience
- Content delivery knowledge, well informed and up to date on broadcast developments & production processes
- Ability to lead & provide excellence in all production planning; offering knowledge, guidance & expertise to enable development within the wider team
- Willingness & knowledge to help to drive innovation & efficiency with regards to all forms of content delivery
- Ability to grow & enhance working relationships with external rights owners, holders, clubs, management and operational personnel within event venues
- Able to step into any content making environment to manage production and issues affecting delivery
- Highly motivated with outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to continuous self-improvement
- Training across H&S and safe planning of productions will be provided
Expected working pattern - 40 hours over 5 days including weekends and bank holidays either at Osterley, on site or at home.
